Distressed Solar Screener

When Pine Gate Renewables went bankrupt, I started thinking about solar asset M&A. How would an acquirer surface acquisition targets on a regular basis, not just when a major portfolio collapses? I built a screener on entirely public data. 885 utility-scale plants, a per-plant gap signal showing how each one generates versus a comparable peer group, and a rule-based decomposition separating fixable underperformance from structural causes. Then I layered in a REST API and an MCP server, so energy data analysts can pull the signals into the tools they already use.
