Side projects.

Personal builds and experiments. Some are AI pipelines that run while I sleep, some solve Saturday-morning problems for my family. All of them ship.

Solar M&A MCP

Distressed Solar Screener

When Pine Gate Renewables went bankrupt, I started thinking about solar asset M&A. How would an acquirer surface acquisition targets on a regular basis, not just when a major portfolio collapses? I built a screener on entirely public data. 885 utility-scale plants, a per-plant gap signal showing how each one generates versus a comparable peer group, and a rule-based decomposition separating fixable underperformance from structural causes.

How I build

Each project is a structured experiment, not a hobby.

01 / Real problem

Start with something I'd actually use.

If I wouldn't use it on a Tuesday, it doesn't get built. That filter kills most ideas in the first hour.

02 / Ship, then keep going

Get it live, then let it earn its keep.

Unshipped projects don't teach. Every project on this page is live, has users (sometimes just my family), and the ones worth nurturing stay in active development.

03 / Public data, private stakes

Lean on what's already out there.

ESPN, TMDB, Open-Meteo, public APIs. Plenty of interesting and impactful work isn't a new dataset, it's a new lens on a public one.

Get in touch

Let's build something that matters.

I'm always up for conversations about climate, AI, and products that touch the physical world. If you're working on something interesting, say hello.
